DEX opened its doors in Bowen in 1995. Since then, we’ve grown exponentially, adding a second location in Townsville. Between the 2 depots, we are processing more than 1000 consignments every week.
From large commercial and government operations to small local businesses, we are diverse in our service and logistical support.

Same-Day Delivery & Overnight Shipping
DEX provides same-day delivery and overnight shipping. To access these fast-tracked services, please see our cut-off times.
For same-day delivery, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, we’d need to have your arrangements in place before 10:00am using the “book a pick-up” section via the online services tab or request a quote by clicking the “get a quote” button below.
Overnight shipping is a Monday to Friday service provided at our Townsville depot only. Phone us before 3:00pm to arrange your overnight shipping, or drop off your goods by 4pm.
Preparing Your Shipping
DEX has established its reputation as a trusted transport and logistics company throughout the Townsville, Ingham, Mackay, Whitsundays, Burdekin and Cairns regions.
To help ensure that your goods are delivered quickly and without incident, clear labelling on the top of each item is important. Both Receiver and Sender details should be listed, including phone numbers.
Goods on pallets should be evenly stacked and secured to the pallet using shrink-wrapping, strapping or banding.
Add extra protection to awkwardly-shaped items with sharp corners or projections. This needs to be done to prevent accidental damage and to avoid damaging other goods.
Drain oils and fluids from machinery or engines. On delivery, leaking and damage can look identical. As a consequence, the recipient often refuses the consignment. With delivery denied and clean-up necessary, the goods are either returned or disposed of—all at the shipper’s expense.
